what's up with this item

Hey guys, I've been watching e-bay T56 stuff, and here's a rebuild kit for $140 (although it says buy now for $1,500!!??) and no one wants it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I've looked at other kits and this looks like relatively good price. Unless they are not including the pieces that are actually important. If that's the case, what parts of T56's typically need rebuilding/refreshing?

That's just bearings and seals. No synchros, and might or might not have shift fork pads and synchro keys (which are high-wear items.) Probably off-brand bearings as well.

It doesn't matter what the buy-it-now is. I could put a $2000 buy-it-now on the used input shaft from a broken V6 T5 in my shed.....it would still only be worth $30.

maybe they're waiitng on a dumbass to hit on the BIN and think they have a bargin. there isn't much to rebuild, bearings, bushings, seals, gaskets, and syncros.

I think the BIN price is supposed to $143.99 and they stuck an extra 0 at the end.
If you do rebuild it, get the viper 3/4 shift fork if you don't already have it. Stock is aluminum and viper one is steel like the rest of the forks in there.

The only iron fork offered at all is the 3-4 shift fork. All other T56 forks are aluminum.

aluminum 3-4 and aluminum 1-2:

In this pic, it looks like the 1-2 is aluminum and the reverse, 3-4, and 5-6 are steel.
