89 transmission and diff to 82

Engine: v8 carb

Transmission: auto

89 transmission and diff to 82

is it possiable to swap out my 82s auto tranny for my 89s manual tranny and diff, i'm doing the diff because i blew my 82s apart
if you know the anwser would be aprecitated with a quic anwser

Axle/Gears: 3:73

The 82 auto tranny is shorter then the T-5 in your 89. The holes for the crossmember to frame will need to be changed. If you swap over the driveshaft and torque arm you will be ok. Also you'll need to cut a hole for the shifter plate I believe.

So the main concern is the crossmember.
