I put 3.73 gears in my 1989 5-speed Camaro, didn't realize the speedo gears are way inside the transmission. Is there a company online that will make a correction box for me?

It'll cost more than the gears. While there are ratio adapters, it would take more than one to correct a decent change (like going from 3.23 to 3.73) and it would just get rather ridiculous.Originally posted by MurcoRS

Email me if you need those gears for your 3.73s though.

I've already installed the gears in my 9-bolt, and was looking for a speedometer calibration box... I already had the internal speedometer drive gears, just didn't want to dive into the trans until next spring.
You have a cable driven speedo so if you use a recalibration box it will only fix the speed the ECM see’s and not your speedo, if you want to fix your speedo you going to have to change the gears or you could waste a ton of money and buy a converter box, a vss, and a cable drive unit.

No, a ratio adapter would work with both the VSS and the speedometer.
