Stupid/odd question. Dimensions of a 700-R4?

From the bottom of the pan to the top of the 'bell housing', what is the hight of a 700-R4? 16 - 17 in high? Reason I ask is I was planning on pulling the trans seperatly from the motor to rebuild it (ungghhh) but I dont know if Ill be able to get the car high enough for it to clear with my cheap jack and stands. Maybe Ill just pull the motor and trans together...

Doesn't give the exact dimension you're after, but it won't be more than the width of the bellhousing.

i learned the hard way how tough it can be to do that. I know a lot of people that take big hydraulic jacks, and jack the rear end of the car as high as they can, then slide the trans under from the backside, and under the car. then you sit the back end back down on the jackstands. it will work, but it is a PITA

I took it out last night and managed to just bearly squeak it out the side by taking the front drivers side tire off. Had to tilt it on end and slowly rock it out... Man what a pain...

damn. Good job though. sometimes these cars can be a real PITA to work on, but its rewarding to always do your own work.
