TV cable to Holley linkage
I'm replacing my TBI with a Holley and I'm wondering what sort of results I might expect if I connect the TV cable to the lower hole of the Holley linkage.
I've looked at a couple of sites that contain info on that, and the description of correct geometry for the TV setup is actually with the cable connection being about 1/8" closer to the throttle shaft and slightly further back as well.
So in other words, the Holley location is close but not perfect.
I'm planning to use a pressure gauge to set the TV cable as per the bowtie overdrives instructions.
There's a kit to correct the geometry but it's not cheap. I just thought I'd ask and find out whether the kit is actually nessecary or not.
Thanks

As long as it looks like this you should be fine.

There's no point using a pressure gauge to adjust the stock TV. You could use it to verify that it's working correctly though.

That's one of the diagrams I was referring to in my question.
The Holley linkage places the hole about 1/8" further away from the throttle shaft centerline than what's described there.

I really wanna know why the hell Holley hasn't made any kind of adapter to work with thirdgen cars. It'd imagine more people use them in thirdgen TBIs than what their original intent is for.

No kidding!
The adapter that Bowtie Overdrives sells looks interesting but it's more than I need, since it comes with a bracket, and I have that piece already.
And they want $100+ for it too.
I like the concept of timing the TV valve opening point with the throttle blade opening, it seems to make sense.
But if you set it up that way with the Holley linkage, the cable runs out of travel before the carb is at WOT.

Scroll down to #28.. I think that is what you need. I forget who makes it though (but you can get it through them)..

Sweet!
I was just about to go to the store to buy a piece of steel to build my own bracket, now I don't have to.
Thanks Bro
