what type of gains am i looking at?

With a stock 305 TBI you will gain mimimal at best. I wouldn't waste all of your money on a strange 12 bolt when you only have 170hp. That is unless you have plans for something scary in the near future. You should never be able to break your stock 10 bolt with an LO3.

i do have something scary in plained. LS1 running mid to high 11's naturally aspirated. or a boosted LS1. and its the same amount of money if i beef up the stock crap rearend. o btw i have a peg leg 3.08 rear gear now.
