Transmission Pressure test what do you need?

Does anyone know the correct fitting to use to check the pressure of the trans in various gears?

I have a compression gauge that might work on the trans if I am able to find the correct fitting and hose to hook up to it.

Any advice or suggestions?

I don't know if a compression gauge will read high enough.

I will have to check what mine goes to but I think it might go to 300psi.

Does anyone have a table of what the values should be.

I had a look at the link on my previous topic but it has the table but no data is in there what the values should be.

The pressure gauge I ordered from bowtie overdrives a year ago is a 0-300psi gauge.

Just what I needed bobsroc.

So those values you listed is what I should be looking for, for the TV cable system to be set up correctly?

I read the bowtie instructions and it all seems pretty straight forward but I do have 2 questions.

When they say disconnect the TV cable from the linkage do you just unbolt it from the plenum correct? Or is this even necessary?

Secondly they say to pull the cable all the way out. Does this mean press D and pull cable all the way back and take reading?

Maybe if you could just describe the way you tested your transmission I would understand it better.

I am going to go and get a gauge today hopefully if I can find one here otherwise I'll order one from the US.

Disconnect the end of the cable from the throttle arm, letting cable retract fully into the housing.

Don't touch the button, pull the end of the cable all the way out.

Cool so the wire cable that is visible at the plenum pull that all the way forward until it you cant pull no further and take readings correct.

Looks like I will be getting the pressure gauge from bowtie for $29 seems like a good buy

Thanks for that dude
