I have an 86 Z28 with a 5 speed, 305 4bbl H-code.... I finally got around to dumping the garbage automatic fluid from my tranny and filled it from the top with mobile1(apparently thats what she likes) My car still shudders when starting at lights (not so bad anymore, i gave it a couple of burners).... It's still tough to shift.... I took a look at my slave cylinder, and the pushrod was all messed up lookin, so i went down and bought a slave.... I installed, and this one had the handy bleeder screw on it. So my pal shows up, I remove the master reservor cap, tell him to give it 10-20 quick pumps, when theres some pedal, hold it to the floor.... I got underneath, loosened the bleeder.... air came out, fluid got in my face and what have you, I tightened the bolt a little late.... So we tried a few times more, and all it does is spurt fluid out. There is no pressure builing up on the clutch, it almost seems like there is so much air in the system that it wont feed anything? I tried it with the bleeder tightened, the cap on, cap off, bleeder off, cap on, bleeder off, you name it, every combination.... I noticed a little round reservoir mounted behind the master, kinda on the side of the brake booster? it was empty, so i filled it, but still no dice.... It bled fine the very first time.... The car is jacked up so it's on three tires, tilted to the passenger side, driver side front tire is about 7"-9" off the ground.... It just wont bleed, the lines were working fine before, i dont feel like buyin anything new, whats the deal? is there something im missing.... none of the lines are leaking to my knowledge, the only fluid thats leaking is the fluid in the master when the cap is off(which isnt ebing sucked into the lines).... I have explained in detail, step by step what I have done, can someone please help me? I have to take a long drive tomorrow, and thats what this car is for, so i'm pretty disappointed that i can't take it.... Thank you in advance...
