Need some help figuring out a tranny prob
First off, I got a rebuilt high performance 700r4 this past july. Shift kit and 2800 lock up stall.
The tranny shifts at abit over 4000 rpms when in drive and flooring it. i want it to shift alittle higher like 4500 rpms, then higher once I get superram intake. But thats later, and I think a servo will help that out.
But when I accelerate, shifting manually, the rpms run through 3000-4100rpms fairly slowly when in first gear. I mean its accelerating well but at 3500-4000 rpms it seems like it is hesitating and maxing out (like power is running out and I should shift now). But then, once past 4000rpm, the rpms quickly rise like its taking off. 4000-5000rpms flys by pretty dang quick as I slam into second, and continue to accelerate. It doesnt do it in 2nd gear though. And it doesnt feel like hesitating or running out of power. Just first.
Oh the converter isnt locking currently cuz bad solenoid. It gets checked out tommorrow.
When I ran it at the track like this, in drive it shifted at 4000rpm and I ran 14.21. Manually shifting at 4500 and bit better launch netted 14.02 and about 1mph more. Any ideas?
