Should I go with 3.73 gears and a 2800 stall converter in my 91 RS??

I own a 91 RS 305 TBI all stock with a 350 TPI install within the next 1-2yrs. Right now I'm in need of a new trans and plan on going with a Pro Built street/strip trans with a 2800 stall and will have 2 yrs to make a stall change so this is not what I would be stuck with when I put in the 350. Also I was thinking of having the rear gears changed at the same time from 2.73 to 3.73 and maybe going with a posi rear depending on price. What do you guys think of the stall and gears I have picked out?? Keep in mind the motor swap in the future so a stall change is easy to change with no added expense but the rear gears are what I am most concerned with since they are not.

I'm basically in the process of installing this setup right now.

Change gears from 3.23 to 3.73 due to exploding my rear. Which when I took it apart I found that it wasn't a posi but welded spider gears. >> ouch!

Added a Auburn high performance posi >> I think this is a must for performance application or you'll never launch good.

Now I'm installing a MadDog Racing 700R4 with a 2300 stall converter becuse the shock of the rear going F----ed up my tranny. >> Always something. I should have the new tranny on Tuesday.

I'll let you know how it is.

i'm running a 2400 stall 9.5" ACT torque converter, probuilt street/strip tranny and 3.73 richmond gears in my 90 RS with mods in my sig and love the combination. Not sure if 2800 is too high but for my daily driver i would want to go any higher. Depends on how aggresive you are going to go with the engine, like heads, cam, etc.
