th350 swapped into 1985 iroc
HEEELLP! I SWAPPED A TH350 IN PLACE OF TH700 IN MY 85 IROC. I NEED TO LENGTHEN DRIVESHAFT 3.5 IN. OR FIND A CUSTOM TRANS YOKE THAT IS LONGER. I KNOW THE TAILSHAFT/HOUSING FROM TH700 CAN BE SWAPPED OUT...BUT A LITTLE BIT BEYOND MY SKILLS. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

the driveshaft needs lengthened 2.92 inches.
You're probably better off just getting the driveshaft retubed than with the other options out there, since you already have the th350 intact.

Yeah, like jmd said, its a little late to change the tailshaft, output shaft. You would be better off having your driveshaft redone.

besides, you have to take your tranny out, take it apart to change the tailshaft...
