I have a 1987 firebird w/ 2.8 v6 and 700r4. I have just gotten a complete t5 from a 1984 firebird with v6 and 112,000 miles on it. I got flywheel, disk, pressure plate, cover, driveline, x-member, clutch cylinder, pedal assembly, and shifter. My questions are...
1. do I need an ECU from a MFI v6 manual car?
2. do I need the torque arm from the other car?
3 will the speedo sending unit from the auto work in the t-5?
4. anyone have the console plate and boot for later 3rd gen 5 speed?
5. are the x-members the same?
6. is a pilot bushing required and will my crank accept one?
All help is greatly appreciated but please only answer if you know absolutely what you are talking about. Thanks.

 

O.K. The websight referral was very helpful as was the step by step directions. However I still have a couple of unanswered questions....

1. Being my car is a 1987 with a MFI V6 automatic, do I need a computer from a MFI V6 manual car?

2. Does anyone have the console plate, upper leather boot and lower rubber boot for manual trans later 3rd GEn they would like to sell?
