Governer Replacement
Okay, my transmission isn't shifting out of first.
Did a search and it says that it's typically a stripped governer.
So i bought a governer and have it in my hand right now..
I have a general idea of where it is.. around the tailshaft?
Well anyways. I don't want to take this thing to a tranny shop to replace a governer so where does this thing go?
There is supposed to be some kind of cover that came off???
I'm not exactly a transmission expert so even an illustration or something would be extemely helpful!
Thanks,

I think the round circular cover near the tailshaft is the cover for the governer, but I could be wrong..

You're correct. No fasteners, just a friction fit.

Make sure when you put that cover back on that you get it tight. Mine worked its way loose one day and I lost all of my fluid. Fried the band quicker than you can blink.
