Buying Another Camaro, is this an option?

Just wondering if I can find a Camaro witha 305, T5 setup. Swap out the the T5 and get it rebuilt to handle about 400hp with zero probs. Then drop a 350 in, at about 350 horse. I want a easy as possible install. I would buy a car with the 700R4, but not sure if at this point im ready to do the auto to manual swap.

Also im trying to go carb, no vss. Eventually no comp at all.

Thanks, Joe

EDIT: Ok not to sound stupid, I realise that lots of 305 Camaros came with the T5, I'm just wondering, if this tranny is worth putting some cash into. Not making a drag car, but a worthly street car that sounds mean.
Also, converting from TBI to carb, is farly easy correct? Also I did a search of course, however I cannot search for T5 because it is too short

Many people run 350's or larger infront of t5's Dont beat the snot out of it (Slicks + clutch dumps) and they seem to hold up.

Ive been banging on mine pretty hard for 10k km's so far and its ok. I know for a fact the previous owner beat on it daily.

Tbi to carb is easy. You need a pressure regulator and 3-4 wires.
