t5 shifter interchangability

first off is interchangability a word????? now to my question ive done a lot of searchin and i cant find a thing. will a t5 mustang stifter, the hurst comp plus, bolt up and work on my WC T5. it sould right ? i hope. let me kno cause i could get a deal on one but i gotta kno soon. thanx guys

the shifter plate should match.. but the sticks wont.. the T-5 sits off center towards the driver at about the 11 O'clock position.. thats why if you look at the stick its bent.

i dont know how they install the mustang T-5, but the bolt pattern should be the same, but the stick is going to be different, depending on transmission mounting.

thanx alot for the info. heres what im tring to get at. can i bolt up and use a mustang short shifer. i could change the stick if i have to. i just wanna kno if it will bolt up and shift my tranny

why would you want to use one from a mustang. just get one for a f-body call it good. it sounds like a lot more work than it is worth.

its not that i want one from a mustang but my friend is puttin a TKO in his foxbody and cant reuse his shifter. i planned on buyin one soon but if his will work it would save me some cash.

ok i understand now. i was under the impression that you wanted to buy it because of price differences. let me know if it works. i have a guy that will give me one if it will work for me. i just didn't want to ask the question you asked fearing the feedback i might get by wanting to use a ford part.

besides the price u see alot more shifters for mustang t5s and for camaros

I guess you guys don't understand but, go ahead and try to bolt it to the trans. I bet the bolts won't even come close the threaded holes. (I have worked on many fox body cars and many many f-bodys) it won't work unless you really redo things
