help with wiring torque converter lockup

I've done a search and have read the tech article. Basically, I want to do exactly what the tech article says, but I'm going to be removing the computer completely. If I remove the computer and all accompanying wiring, will jumping these two wires still work? Also, if I were to unplug the computer, but leave all wiring there, will it work? If tearing out the computer wiring harness will leave these wires on the ALDL useless, how else can I tap into the wiring harness. Down the road, I might try to hook up some vacuum switches, but for now, I can be totally happy with just a little switch.

Thanks,
Eric

They make a few different kits that will allow your trans to lock up without a computer. The one that makes the most sense to me is the valve that gets installed in the valve body. As I understand it , it used governor pressure to dertemine road speed and lock up at a predetermined(by spring selection) mph. There are also wiring kits.I have not used any so I cannot speak from experience as to which option is better.

Yes, remove the computer and don't butcher the harness and a switch on the ALDL will still work.

Only the early valve bodies have provision for the valve.
