Im installing my Th350 short tailshaft into my 82 Berlinetta. This car originally had a TH200M, which I swapped for a 700R4 that recently fried after I did some mods to my 305. NOw, I bought the B&M TH350 conversion and personally, I think it kinda sucks. Ive ran into a problem with my crossmember. Im using the 700R4 crossmember from an 85 Camaro (same car old 700 came out of) and its not bolting up to the adapter plate. I took the adapter plate off and put my transmission mount onto the TH350 and it would work except it seems the crossmember is too short....whats the deal here?

Any experience with this product and how to make it work is greatly appreciated. BTW, I know about the driveshaft, glad I kept my old one . thanks in advance.

 

can't use the 700r4 x-member. you need the thm200c x-member. reason being, the 700 and the th350 mounts are in different places. if you don't have your x-member anymore, PM me. i still have mine.
