Hurst auto/manual t handle
I was just wondering if one of those $20 Hurst shift ***** from SUmmit that are supposed to be for auto/manual will work on a stick auto shifter. My **** is pretty screwed up, so I want to replace it. But how do these ones work? No button? Does that mean you can just move it freely?

That handle is a thread-on item.
Your stock shifter uses a clip-on style shifter ****.
Does it work? No. Could it be made to work? Yes. Would I bother? No. I'd get another better shape stock shift ****.
