automatic or stick

i just want to hear your opinion for my setup. i need a trans thats going to hold around 575hp. i know that the factory t5 isn't going to handle that much hp very well. should i try and find a really build 5speed, but then i have to worry about the clutch. will i be able to get a good clutch. im kinda leening towards an automatic because my friends good buddy could build me a crazy TH350 or TH400 for around 6-800 bucks. plus i don't want to have to worry about missing shifts when i go to the track. let me knoe what you think

I say for that much power, go with a beefed up TH350 or TH400. Stick is more fun to drive on the street, but for your app, I'd say to stay with an auto.

A T56 should last behind your set-up. You can also "beef" them up to handle upwards of 650hp or more. If you drive your car on the street I would lean towards the manual. If it is a strip only car you may want to choose otherwise.

while i'm not making over 500hp like you plan to, i am very happy with my TH350 on stage 2... however, for what you plan on doing, I would think a TH400 would work pretty good...

Save yourself the hassle and gas money and beef up the 700R4.
