I need advice for my 383 build

Hey all,

Can you guys help to guide me a little here. I need to know what torque converter/rear end combo is going to work best for my application.

I've rebuilt a 700R4 with one of Probuilt's Master Street/Strip kits. This summer I'm going to be swapping a carbed 383 in place of my tired old 305 TBI and I plan to put the probuilt tranny behind it.

My goal for the motor is between 480-520HP at the flywheel. I've got two cars, so this one isn't necessarially going to be a daily driver, but it should be comfortable going as far as an hour or two away to a car shows or whatnot.

It's a 383, and it's probably going to have between a .500 and .600 lift mechanical roller cam. I've already ordered my AFR 195cc Heads, all forged bottom end, Hooker shorties and 3" exhaust. The only things that I still havent decided on are cam, gears, and stall.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

...bump.

So no one has any advice here?

I forgot to mention that I am planning on a 12 bolt or 9" rear end with 3.73's.
