would this tranny work?
a t-5 out of a 1993 chevy s-10 with a 2.8 v6.
if i put a v-8 bellhousing on it would it bolt up and work? is the crossmember different, anything different that i should know before buying?

Yes it will work.
As long as you're putting it into a S truck.
The shifter is about 6" farther forward than it would be in one of these cars; it has no torque arm mount; and it isn't "rotated" in the bell housing.
If you're looking for a V8 T5 for a Camaro or Firebird, the only thing that will substitute for it is a V8 T5 from a Camaro or Firebird.
