Engine: Stock 305 TBI

Transmission: Stock

Torque Converter Lockup Switch

Whats the point of having a torque converter lockup switch? I was reading the tech article on the site. Would it be OK on a stock 700r4 without destroying it? It would only be used during drag races and i'd be manually shifting. Thanks.

Locking it up at WOT is pretty hard on the clutch. Why would you want to do it?
