Tranny Temp too cold?

I'm worried (see other post) about the tranny pump. I heard when it goes no fluid comes out. Well I get fluid but how fast should it be coming out of the line? Also The tranny doesnt seem to be gettin gup to temps. Eather that or Its just that I have a cooling pan, through the rad, through an external one, then into a remote filter where the sender is. On the guage its showing 115* degrees. On the highway with 40* temps. Sound normal?

If the gauge is correct then it sounds way to low. Mine normally runs 160 degrees after 10 minutes of driving from a cold start and can go all the way up to 220 degrees or so depending on how much I slip the converter.

Your radiator should be warming the coolant up more than that since it should be some heat soak from the engine coolant.

I believe 160 degrees is the recommended temperature for transmissions to perform optimal lubrication.

Could be. I would say 115 is still barely ok, but I would be a little iffy about 40 degrees.

Probuilt usually recommends 150 to 180 degrees.

-EDIT-
Dug out this post for you.

I would probably consider routing it around the aftermarket cooler all together for testing. Just to see if that raises the temps back up on the gauge and that ungels your fluid.
