Dakota Digital placement?
I have a Dakota Digital SGI-5 I'm going to be installing soon. Where do you guys think the best place to put it would be, and where to splice the wires? Thanks.

lots of people leave it under the radio pod, I put mine up by the pcm. for mine it was easy to just remove the factory box and splice it in there.
I had to run the twisted sensor wires though. (just came up through the tunnel where the auto trans shifter cable used to be.)
don't forget to twist the wires comming from the speed sensor.

I am in the same boat now
I received the SGI-5 today. I have read through most of it. I have a
few questions about the installation.
1. Where is the best location for this part? I was thinking in the center console under the armrest.
2. The cutting of the wires, is that behind the speedo or under the car.
I am familiar with my car, I just need a starting point. How can I tell the wires that are under the dash or in the center console?
The car is a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS - Automatic - Throttle Body Injection.

I zip-tied my SGI-5 to the metal brace that beefs up the plastic center console assembly, just rearward from the shifter.
2 hard seasons of street use, drag racing, and road course racing with zero problems...then it came out when I did the LS1 swap.

I kind of understand the setup of the box. I will be using application # 3 for the most part. My speedo is like 16mph off.
