Car: 1984 Camaro Z28

Engine: 305 V8 High Output

Transmission: 700-R4

th400 install

i am looking to drop in a th400, and i was wondering how much these usually take to install? I only have a budget of about $1500. Is it possible to buy a tranny and have it installed for that price? thanks. if anybody has any references in los angeles, please tell me.
