After high stall and shift kit, what need adjusting?
Ok,
I have a rebuilt trans and had a transgo kit put in along with a 2800 stall from MidWest.
My shifting is kinda wacko. What actually needs to be readjusted for eveything to work correctly with the new stuff?
I have already adusted the TV cable. what else?
Should I redo all the IAC, TPS adjustments. Also what controls the "lock-up" the ECM? should I try and have that redone to compensate for the new stall I now have?
I just wanna get everything in order. My shifting is all out of wack it seems like...
The place that did my trans said for me to bring it to them and they will tweek on the govners. What will tha do?

As for the lock-up, I'm surprised more people don't have this problem...or maybe they do and they just don't post.
I have a 2200 converter, and I would be cruising and it would lock up BELOW the stall speed. Obviously this is a GOOD thing on the highway, but it was hell on local driving. No joke, the lockup would drop the RPMs so much that it felt like I had another gear. I could give it gas and if I wasn't over 3/4 throttle (downshift) it would bog and start knocking like it was gonna stall.
The brake switch automatically unlocks the convertor when you press the pedal, so I just wired in a manual switch. When the switch is "on", the lock-up behaves according to the original factory ECM. When the switch is off, it will NEVER lock up.

hmm? how hard is it to do what your talking about? I need to get all this crap taken care of before the big meet at Moorsville.
I know I got plenty of time but the way it shifts and the way the converter acts is getting to be a real pain if you ask me and its only been 3 days...LOL!
We're gonna have to run them down the track against eachother...
