700r4 shifts into top gear w/lock up at 33mph
In my 86 berlinetta the tranny shifts into 4th gear and the torque converter locks up at 33mph unless I'm really getting on it. It seems like this shouldn't be happening till about 45mph. It sucks because when I'm driving in town I have to shift to drive from overdrive manually. Other than this problem it is great.
Any help would be great.

I want to fix it the right way. Not rig some switch that is not supposed to be there.
Anyone else with ideas. Maybe a trans guy could comment.

blah blah blah........it could be your govoners in the trans. Whats posted above is not a wrong way or some switch riged up...torque converter switches have been around along time for the 7004r's ....have you ever looked at Summit or Jegs...there in there but from $70-$150
THis way only cost the price of a switch and a couple of feet of wire.
also have you attempted to try the search function on this board?
it may come up with your anwsers.
