Went for drive...wheels TOO HOT to touch!
Little background:
I've been having a slight wobble at around 70 mph and I'm not sure why. Variables are a new tranny, new 9 bolt, new driveshaft, new steering components.
The wheels/tires were just balanced and they checked out. One was WAY off, but it now cool, and it didn't solve anything. The front end has been aligned TWICE. I'm thinking maybe the driveshaft, but as the title of this thread shows, i went for a drive today and the polished part of my Iroc wheels were too hot to touch!!!! Maybe that's normal, I just never noticed. I was thinking maybe I need new bearings, but both wheels?
I dunno, just looking for any comments/thoughts.

Car: VIN=85 T/A, CAR=82/3 T/A gfx, go figure. She's a T/A anyway!

Transmission: THM350 ??
Assuming that the brakes weren't dragging then yes, new bearings sounds like the way forward. Saying that, surely there should have been some kind of loud humming, whining noise if the bearings were on their way out.

I just drove my S10 for a while and the wheels got pretty darn hot too. A friend of mine stopped by and I ran out and touched his wheel. OUCH!!!
Aparently this is normal.
The wheels bearings were replaced and repacked not to long ago so they shouldn't have been bad.
