Car: '86 Camaro, '02 WRX, '87 K5, '67
Engine: 350 TPI, 2.0turbo, 383 in the works, 289-4BBL, 232, A-head 4-cylinder
Transmission: T56, 5-speed, 700R4, C4, T176, semi-auto 2-speed
Axle/Gears: 3.73, 3.90, 4.88, 3.55, 3.54, 7.00
Put the car up on stands at least 2' off the ground.
Disconnect:
Shift linkage, TV cable, driveshaft, torque arm, trans wiring.
Remove:
Crossmember, trans, converter, flexplate, console plate, shift linkage, shifter bracket, brake pedal & hanger.
Cut:
Hole in the trans tunnel for the shifter, holes in the firewall for clutch push rod and mounting hardware.
Install:
New pedals & hanger, flywheel, clutch, pressureplate, hydraulics, bellhousing, trans, crossmember, shifter boot, shifter, 5-speed console plate
Reconnect:
Driveshaft, torque arm
Finish up by:
Fill trans with 3.5 quarts ATF, re-wire neutral saftey into clutch interlock, reverse lights from shift selector to trans switch, hatch release wiring to e-brake switch, swap brake & cruise switched from the old pedals to the new pedals
Disconnect:
