Rear Swap

I have a 2.73 drum brake, peg leg rear in my 87 Z28. I am shopping around for a 3.27 posi 9inch w/ disc....how hard is it to swap and what proper messures should i take.. Do i need to get a new master cylinder for the brakes? If anyone can give me the run down on the proper way to do a sway i'd appreciate it. Thanks
Paul

Call up Strage, Currie, or another manufacturer and order up a bolt in 9" rear for a 3rd gen. Tell them what brakes you want to run and have it delivered with the brakes, or so you can re-use your old ones. If you reuse the stock brakes you can reuse your stock master. If you change brakes you might need a new master.

rear swap is pretty easy to do...just installed 9" in mine a couple of weeks ago....master cylinder will be the same, but will need prop valve to match the brakes if going from drum to disc. will need parking brake cables probably also.

I wouldnt think that would eb a problem, since its all factory parts and no emission related....but I dont have deal with that here in Indiana (no inspection) good luck....swap is really easy...

you would think that your old boss would help you out a little..lol. unless you left on bad terms which means its will have to be perfect...wish it would rain here, been hot and humid for weeks...
