Trans rebuild
I'm in the middle of a trans rebuild on my 700r4, and I got the TCI master racing overhaul kit, but it doesn't include anything to modify the valve body. Do I need a shift kit? I have one in my '73 Nova, and it shifts really hard. I mean really hard. I don't want my bird to be as harsh, I just want it to give good traction, and last for a long time.
I also have a freind with a '92 RS. Dead stock, (except for the crate 350 that replaced the 305) and he put in a shift kit, and it doesn't seem to shift that hard. In fact, it's not really noticable.
Opinions????

The TransGo shift reprogramming kit is what you want. Hard shifts at WOT, but smooth shifts at part throttle. Easy on the trans because it still uses accumulation. I would go this route.
