I had the same problem. I switched to a fourth gen aluminum driveshaft, and no more vibrations. I've heard the stock steel one's have problems, even after you get them balanced.

Try sipning the drive shaft on the pinion yoke 180 dagrees. Whenever I mess whith one I paint one side so it marry's up back on the install .If you did this check and make sure the part's you just changed are seated all the way .

Car: VIN=85 T/A, CAR=82/3 T/A gfx, go figure. She's a T/A anyway!
Engine: 5.0, Holley 600 cfm 4-barrel
Transmission: THM350 ??
I had driveline vibration from 50 upwards, despite having the rear u/j replaced (the old one was shot to hell with rust and loose anyway!).
Upon spinning the propshaft 180 degrees and remounting it, the car drives nice and smooth

I'm not very mechanicaly inclined so when you say spin the prop shaft 180 degrees do you mean take both u joints off and turn the drive shaft 180 degrees then remount the joints?

Thanks

Sorry no.
I mean undo the 4 bolts holding the rear U/J yoke together. Push the shaft towards the front of the car until the u/j clears the yoke. Turn the propshaft half a turn, push it towards the back axle and bolt the u/j back up (22Nm torque on the bolts I think according to my Chilton manual).

Hope this clarifies the operation.

Mark.
