Changing Speedo Gear
how much of a B!tch is this...i went from 2.73's to 3.73's, and the thing is pretty outta whack...it says like 40 when i'm doing 25-30...i had my tranny built professionally, but one thing i forgot to tell them is to change the speedo gear
....i would just like to know whats all involved in changing it, and how much of a pain is it...

The other most useful "tip" I got was to drop the drive gear in a coffee cup filled with water, microwave it (expansion) then drive it on. It goes on sooo much easier.

a pot of boiling water should work too, as long as it is suspended and not touching the bottom. any kind of heat will help with this. if that doesn't help much, cool off the shaft with some ice or compressed c02.
