still have zexler 100 dollar units out there, or ?
or whatever they are called, for the 7.5" axles with 3.42 ratio
do they still have them ? and for this price, or is there anything else out there for around same price and that is a posi unit ?
fit in open diffs and not require resetting lash/shims/pinion sleeve ?
thanks

I guess that you are talking about the Zexel-Torsen units. SLP used to sell take-offs from 4th gens for $100.
Now I would check Ebay or our classifieds for one. There's a new one on Ebay now.
I'm no expert, but if you change carriers, the rear end will need to be set-up.
Also the Zexel units are designed for 28-spline axles. Your '82 has 26. So you would be looking at an axle swap too.
