Shifter backwards? Difficult shifting
I don't think its possible but working at 1am isn't the best idea with cars. Can the stock t-5 shifter go on backwards, and if so how would it act?
Its hard to get into gear but I know the throwout bearing was install with the clips on the inside of the bearing. It has a new clutch fork, spec stage 2: clutch, pressure plate, TO bearing, and pilot bearing. I have bleed the LT1 hydraulics multiple times. Please help me out before I try some bad ideas or atleast leave some responses.

Three nights in a row working on cars til 3 am really wears a person out. Does it matter if I put the bellhousing on and then the case? Because I couldn't find a way to do the entire assembly together.
I doubt the shifter could be put on wrong, but everything else seems to be lined up right.

Don't think the shifter can go on backwards either. Has a very different offset from front to back.
Measure how much travel the hyd. moves the fork. There is a min measurement but I can't rembember what it is. Perhaps some one else can chime in.
Hopefully you don't have a defective pressure plate.
Get that measurement first.

I'm going to measure the amount of movement tomorrow. If it equals or is more than the 5/8 that is recommended on this sight, I'm going to take it to a transmission shop.
I wish there was a diagnostic flow chart for these transmissions.

Maybe this information will help.
When I try to put in gear and am already in motion, I have to wait for the shifter to slide into gear. Its like push in clutch, pull towards second, wait, wait, and now slides in second, release clutch.
I did not get to measuring the hydraulic movement yet, maybe tomorrow night.
*EDIT* This site is pretty sweet. It doesn't solve my problem but it does have a lot of information.

I went down to the gm dealership and exchanged my hydraulic assembly. Its not as bad, but shifting into first is still a muscle builder. Maybe I could add a spacer to the end of the slave? Or I could take it down and put it back together again .
