Finally! 3.27's and LCA brackets are in!
after a year and a half of having these gears laying around, i finally got the gears put in. Also i have the relocation brackets welded on now for the lower control arms
this is nice! i did a few test runs and all i can say is its nice. it could definately use some more gear, like 3.45's would be perfect, maybe even 3.70's.
but for now, i cant complain. the car pulls alot better from 40mph and 60mph rolls.
from a dig, my traction is greatly improved now, it chirps alittle and hooks up and gets up! the gears--i still beg for more off the line, but i should be looking at horsepower and drag radials instead of the gearing. first gear goes kinda quick, its kinda hard to tell how much faster the car is from the 2.77's in first gear, but 2nd gear is deffinately quicker.
at 70mph its doing 2000 rpms with the stock 16 inch iroc wheels.
speedo correction gears used were 39 tooth driven and 15 tooth drive. and so far i think its pretty much dead on.
the relocation brackets really helped traction. i have them set on the lowest hole for now, and i like how the car rides. its abit smoother then before in the stock location. the car however does start to oversteer abit more now, so i might bring it up one hole for street/ handling driving. before in the stock location, it was easy to spin the tires but the car stuck on rails around corners, i couldnt get the rear to come out. this is with prokit springs and tokico shocks set on really stiff setting.
