calipers

so, like many people on here, I've got rear drum and I'm switching to rear disc.

I know I know, the search button is a beautiful thing.

my question, which from what I've seen hasn't been covered, is the calipers.

the rearend I bought(which out of 91 GTA trans am, was 160) came with no calipers or pads, and the rotors are shot.

what I need to know is, is there any other rear calipers I could steal off of another junk car to either put on my car, or use as a core charge towards replacement calipers.

also, I'm reading that the 3rd gen calipers are crap, are there decent aftermarket ones I can get, what are my options?

also, I already know that although I'm supposed to change the proportioning valve as well as the master cylinder, although neither are required.

I know that the e-brake cables are needed, and I've requested that they be kept in tact.

I've read of people connecting the brake lines right up to it, with little or no trouble.

so, is there anything I'm missing?

what are apr calipers, btw? 4th gen calipers? can those be put on my car?

thanks for any help.
