is it bad to have your auto trans in the D with the circle around it all the time when you go and drive it?

No. It's ok. That would be overdrive. Where your torque converter locks together at a certain speed or gear to help increase gas mileage. It is a completely automatic thing.

if your not out on the highway you can get a little less wear on the trans by keeping it in drive instead of OD. Its a straight pass through with the 1:1 ratio.
