Engine: L69 305 H.O.
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Speedometer problem
I just swapped in a WC T5 into my 1984 Z28 with a 85 mph speedometer. Now the speedometer reads off the chart, like 35 to 45 mph faster than actual MPH. Is this just a matter of changing out the speedo gear in the transmission? Is there an adapter? I have stock 15" tires and 3.73 gears. Can I take the speedo gear out of the old T5 and put it in the new WC T5?
