Transmission: th700-r4
trans problem shifting?

i got a 305TBI W/ th700-r4, well when im just driveing normal doing off a red line my first gear goes into 2nd at like 15miles an hour lol, i barley get to 1500 rpms then goes into 2nd. any ideas?

your tv cable might be misadjusted jsut go to the technical articles section and scroll down it sumthing like "adjusting the tv cable for late model th350 and 700R4 transmisions

Axle/Gears: MWC 9” 3.00
if your just driving normal, theres nothing wrong with it shiftin into second at 15mph. depending on your gears out back, first will only go to about 30mph anyway under WOT redline so i wouldnt worry

If your TV cable & valve is right, this will let you adjust the shift points with the governor.
