Drop the pan, and on the pass. side, there will be a little metal rod between the end of the cable and a metal arm. It will kinda look like the accelerator pump on a carb. Loosen the bolt on the clamp holding the TV cable. Take the rod off. Switch the cable, then put it back in the tranny. Tighten down the clamp, Reattach rod. Close up the tranny and re-attach to engine. Enjoy.

You don't have to drop the pan to change a TV cable, atleast not on a 700R4. Just undo the one bolt holding the cable to the transmission then lift up cable and unhook it from the transmission and put the new one on.

Okay, got it changed out. What a PITA! Due to my dsl, I had to unbolt the torque arm and ds to get the tranny to drop enough,
I have a problem though. The old cable had a sleeve at the end, after the hook up for the TB, the new one did not, making it too long. Well, I made up a sleeve for it to get it the same length, but I can not get the thing to adjust.
I have tried it several times following the instructions on this site, but when I move the throttle to wide open, I do not hear any 'clicks" of course, when I tried to drive the car, it would rev real high before shifting.
What is going on here? AM I missing something?

MAn, I sure hope not. It was a pita. It looks the same as the old one with the exception of the sleeve on the end of the cable.

Not just the overall length, but the same amount of cable past the adjuster, same range of travel on the adjuster, etc.

Well, thats tough to say, but It appears to be about the same. Even with the old one, after getting the car back together with the stealth ram on, I could not get it to click.
