Alright my 1982 Z28 Camaro still has the original TH-200C transmission. But doesn't have the original crossfire injection or computer. It's a carbed 400 SBC. (Here comes the WTF are you doing with that tranny on that engine remarks. lol) After one rebuild it has taken the abuse I've given it rather well for about 5 years now but is starting to show its age just a bit. Anyways during those 5 years the converter has never locked up. Been researching the subject and can't find anything for the TH-200C trans.. All the kits and such specify that they are for the TH200-4R and the TH700-R4 OD transmissions. This is the TH-200C 3 speed auto trans.. Could anyone explain how I would go about hooking up a manual lockup switch or vacuum operated switch to this transmission?
Thanks,
Matt

It should be the same as on a 700R4, power on pin A, ground on pinD.
So run a constant ground to Pin D and run a switched positive wire to Pin A?

The factory wiring should be running a constant +12V to pin A through the brake switch. You should be able to lock and unlock the TCC by grounding pin D.

He removed the computer. So the factory harness is gone. Originally posted by Apeiron

Please visit www.700r4.com. The TCC lockup switch wiring harness should work on the 200c.
Well the connector on the transmission has 2 wires.. It's a 4 wire plug just like the 700R4.. Just only has 2 wires in it... One is hot and the other is neither ground or hot. Run a switched ground to the one that isn't hot?

Removing the computer doesn't necessarily mean he hacked up his wiring harness.Originally posted by BruceEmbry

Like I said.. one wire has 12V to it with the key on and appears to be hooked through the brake switch. The other wire has nothing going through it and is not grounded.

The other wire (should be to pin D) is the one that the ECM grounds to lock up the TCC. Grounding it (through a switch or vacuum switch if you like) will lock the TCC.
