tranny fluid question

Heres the thing, I'm pretty sure this is bad, but im perplexed....

I checked the transmission fluid not too long ago (it just had new stuff put in when i got the stall converter put in) back in october of last year. The car has only been driven 3000 miles since that install, and before that, the car sat on jackstands in the garage, and about a year before that, the tranny had a rebuild, high perf clutch packs, corvette servo, trans go shift kit...the works. don't worry, as soon as it came off the jackstands, the fluids were changed. So when they had it at the shop more recently, they put in the TC, new fluid, a new kickdown cable, a tranny cooler, and I asked them to check the fluids. They said everything looked good, no metal in the pan, etc.

About 2 months ago, i checked the tranny fluid, and noticed, as i wiped the dipstick off, that in the pinkish colored fluid, there was a sort of soot that came off with it. Now I think its aluminum particles or something, but I'm really not sure. I am gonna call the transmission shop about it tomorrow, but this tranny hasn't even seen 5K miles yet!! Unfortunately since it sat on jackstands so long, i don't think my 1 year warranty is in effect any longer....but geebus, the parts aren't even old and haven't seen much wear. Any ideas?

Edit: i suppose I should probably mention that the fluid is bright red, and doesn't have any bad smells to it, looks, smells and feels just fine.

thanks.

No thoughts or ideas? I can't figure it out, maybe I should just drop the pan. A tranny shop I called said it could just be from the new clutches and what not breaking in....i don't know though.

Thanks
