does anybody know if an SS 6 speed will fit in my 92 RS, please help
i've got a '92 rs origanally with a 305 but now i've put an older 350 in it and have gone with a carb.
my 700R4 went out and now i'm redoing the car and seriously want to put a newer SS's six speed in my camaro. i've never heard of anyone doing this before.
do any of you know anything about this procedure and if it will bolt right up or if certain mods need to be done to make it fit and work.
any info will be greatly appreciated.
a few q's to help me out with if anyone will are...
-will it bolt right up to the 350
-will it fit in the trany tunnel
-will i have to use the drivshaft from the 6 spd or rear end
-how much will i have to do to the console inside
thank you very much!!!

'93-97 4th gen T56 will bolt in, just a regular T56 swap and it's been documented here.
'98+ 4th gen T56 will bolt in with an aftermarket (McLeod) bellhousing to accomodate the input shaft length difference, or swapping the input shaft and some other pieces...either way, it's the less-practical approach given the extra cost and effort.

http://www.skulte.com/T56.html is a good starting place.
Also do a search on username MrDude_1 in just this forum and you'll get plenty of info, he documented his swap well and answers questions frequently.
