86 firebird V6 T5 into 85 berli auto?
My friend has a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta, with a 2.8 and the 700R4. We picked up a parts car, a 1986 Firebird with a 2.8 and a 5 speed.
Is this a straightforward swap? Due to the massive amount of electronics on the Berli, will this be an issue?
We will get a new pressure plate, throwout bearing, and disk... as well as have the flywheel resurfaced.
Is the auto to stick conversion hard? Are all the holes and such already there?
Any input would be great! Thanks!

pre 89 camaro's had cable driven speedo's, 86 and up firebirds had electronic speedo's. you will need either a guage setup from an 89+ camaro or 86+ firebird, or a t-5 vss from an 82-85 firebird or 82-88 camaro. a 700r4 vss will not work, it is a different size.

Wait, I'm a little confused by your post. First, we can't change the cluster, as it has the special digital dash. Second, except for the Berlinetta, I didn't think the Camaro got the VSS till 1989?
