want a posi..what options do i have?

i have a 92 lo3 t-5 i believe the gear is a 3.08...but it is peg leg...i was wondering what is the largest gear i can put in the car without having to change the vss...also what other f bodies can i look for that will have a posi so i could just change the whole rear because i have had a mechanic tell me he had to put an oversize bearing in the axle to compensate for wear...

If you can find a posi rear in good shape it will most likely have a diferent gear ratio in it . Any gear other the the one you have will requier differnt speedo gears . Finding a hole rear would be the best thing for you to do , if you do not think you can change the inturnels your self . All the f-bodys 82-92 will work with ease as long as it has the same break set up , you can change that too not verry hard . The new f-bodys will work too but they are wider and little more involved swap . How much power do you think you want to achieve or are you running will ditermen what your options are .
