GM used two bolt patterns on their transmissions, BOP and chevy, chevy is easy to tell, it has two vertical bolt holes on each side

Looks like a dual bolt pattern to me, should bolt to either Chevy or BOP engines.

"THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE PONTIAC OR MULTICASE PATTERN TRANSMISSION ..."

"YOUR CHOICE OF LONG OR SHORT SHAFT."

You aren't going to get the tranny in the picture.

"YOU MUST EMAIL ME BEFORE AUCTION ENDS."

This is to make sure you're ordering the transmission you can use.

If you already emailed and he hasn't answered, I agree - pass. It doesn't look like anything special, transmission- or price-wise.

You might want to check the feedback on this seller. 5 mentions of shipping problems, some communication problems on the first page alone.

They have other TH350's in their store, why did you pick that particular one?

Oh, don't forget the core charge.

because im in Australia and that guy ships international.

Its a lot more expensive to get a decent transmission built over here.

It works out to be almost half price if i buy a transmission like that for that price.

I don't know. Something looks fishy. First of all I hate it when a listing is all in upper case plus there's a bunch of spelling errors.

All that prep work is done. A bunch of brand name parts are listed which doesn't mean much. The listing says it has the 36 element sprag but doesn't say who makes it. The TCI unit is $306. He also offers a converter in any stall choice up to 3000. For a starting bid of $650, there's no way he's making much of a profit on these transmissions.

It might be a good deal but I'd want a shipping quote to .au before making any bids so you know how much you're going to have to pay.

Don't forget that being overseas means warrenty work or replacement is out of the question.

ok i worked it out, i cud get that 350 shipped for $1450 AUD.

Or i cud get this transmission made in Australia for about $2200 shipped, but then i also have to buy a torque converter.

The one thats made in Aus looks to be good quality, and plus i wouldnt have any warranty issues if something did go wrong.

That looks more impressive. Any good tranny isn't going to come cheap. I'd love a different gear set for my powerglide and the gear set alone is about $1400.
