can anyone tell me if i swap a wc t-5 from a 88+ camaro if the speedometer is electric or gear driven. also does the reverse lights and speedometer cable just plug in from the automatic 700 r4 to the t-5 without any adjustments or trouble. if anyone knows what a thing on top of the t-5 trans is also that sticks out like a oil dip stick let me know. just curious . thanks.

as far as i know camaros had mechanical speedos until 91, so you should be able to plug right in
i think the connector for the reverse lights on an auto is different, so you will have to wire that one up yourself
and the tube your refering to is some kind of vent
