Trans Cooler?
So last night radiator cracked...coolant everywhere wasnt a fun mess but got it home alright. Today got a new radiator in, well what are the 2 lines that hold transmission fluid for? Do our cars come stock with a transmission cooler? I couldnt figure it out cause it was transmission fluid from one of the bottom metal hoses. But anyway i mean i always read about aftermarket trans coolers whats the difference? Any info never knew much about these in the first place.
Thanks, Steve

The tranny lines connect to the side of the tank for cooling. I suppose you could call it a stock tranny cooler. However it is common amoung most cars with auto trannies.
If you want more cooling install an aftermarket cooler. I mounted mine to the backside of the a/c condensor.

umm im pretty sure every single car/truck with an auto tranny has the cooler in the rad. But you can get alot lower temps using an aftermarket cooler which uses cold air instead of warm coolant.
this is what pretty much every aftermarket trans cooler looks like
