trans re-d0

alright, about three weeks ago i swaped the stock 4 speed out and tried to put in a t-5 into my 4 cyl 82. the clutch doesnt disengage so its always in gear. other than that, eveyrything is fine. are there any words of advice or things i might look for when im pulling out the drivetrain and trying to redo the insalation?

thanks

Sounds like the throw out bearing. I've been told its a wear part so it should be replaced when the clutch is replaced. Maybe just try a new one.

i got a brand new clutch kit from some other vehicle with a 9" clutch but with 26 splines, so the it has a new pressure plate, throwout bearing, and clutch. the pressure plates are shaped differently, do you think that might be it?

thanks

It might be, I cant say for sure, I've never run a 9" clutch. I would try a search to see who else tried the S10 clutches (I know others have done it) and see what parts they had to use or what happened with the install.
